Graduating from Spring Arbor University with a degree

In business administration, I was recruited by Texas Instruments with positions in marketing and strategic OEM sales, working with C-level executives for over two decades worldwide. After relocating four times in my career, I retired from high tech. I purchased a successful contracting business, working closely with many of the area's residential and commercial architects, builders, and contractors from Mackinaw City to Manistee. Our company serviced hundreds of homeowners' garage doors and designed and installed custom residential metal and wood carriage doors to install many of the area's most significant commercial garage door projects for fire halls, storage, and commercial/industrial facilities in Michigan.

About Me:

My wife and I grew up in southern Michigan. Our families enjoyed vacations up north while growing up. Our dream was to someday live in Traverse City, and after more than two decades of living out west, we relocated and purchased our home in Bowers Harbor. We have called Traverse City home now for over 20 years. Our kids attended Central High School and NMC—my wife and I are members of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Traverse City Country Club. I enjoy cycling, gardening, and volunteering weekends as a historical interpreter at Colonial Michilimackinac in my spare time. I earned
